No its not! You can do a lot more with Maths than with music. Also it's easier to find a high paying job if you are good at Maths than if you are good in music.

Nah, music should be removed from the curriculum altogether and replaced with extra hours on home economics. They test people's ability to sing, despite not teaching them how to sing. They test people's ability to play instruments based on non existent teaching. Its wasting people's time on something they will never need in their life. Math however is important for medicine, construction, agriculture, science and engineering.

It's true if you are talking specificly about these advanced skills in each domain (reading a music part or some advanced algebra). They are both useless in the vast majority of cases. If you are talking about music and math in general, it is a completely different story
